I am so sick and tired

of being sick and tired!

After almost 30 years of good health (other than a week of strep throat last year), I was diagnosed with shingles 8 weeks ago. And, as if that wasn't bad enough, early into that diagnosis, I passed two kidney stones!

I saw the doctor yesterday and he thinks I'll probably have another six weeks of the nerve pain from the shingles.

One of the worst things has been an absolute lack of energy and now it's also hard to get out of the habit of doing nothing except read.

Anyway, I've got a few projects on the burner and hope to get back in the groove soon.

  2. I'm so sorry. Shingles are the worst. Try to give yourself a break and relax to get better.

    1. Thanks, Sheila,
Doing my best to relax but it's hard when I've got so many UFOs on my mind.

Isn't that the truth. The snow last night was SO discouraging.

  4. Shingles seems to be unexpectedly cropping up all over the place these days, Maureen and I know that they can really hurt! I wish you a continued recovery with a high stack of nothing but good reads until you're feeling 100% better again. :)

    1. Thanks Elizabeth,
You're so right about about the good reads. We have a great library in our condo but my reads have mostly come from https://www.bookbub.com/home/ Get at least one free book from that site a day and have been keeping up with them pretty mcuh.
Problem is, it makes me lazy and when I should be actually doing something, I read.
