Finishing the garden bird cage

I took a strip of some carpet material and cut it to the width of the chairs and double the length: then coated it with glue and folded it against itself.

 Clamped it against the seat and the top

 Let the glue dry. then trimmed the top of the chair.

 I am SO pleased with it.
