I love those handy towels that you attach to your oven handle - so much so that the ones I had had long passed their 'best before' date. LOL

So I was thrilled to get a pair of them from my DS Carol for Christmas. And these even incorporate a potholder in the design! And easy-peasy (and inexpensive) to make!

All you need is a terry cloth tea towel, a matching/coordinating potholder and a button. Fold the towel in half and gather along the fold to the width of the potholder. With right sides together, stitch the towel to the middle of the potholder. Add a button to the side of the potholder that doesn't have the hanging hook. Put the holder over the oven door and button.

These would make nice shower gifts.
