A hodgepodge of a catch-up

It has been such a long time since I have posted that it is taking me some time to figure out the changes.

The Miniature Enthusiasts of Edmonton had their annual Christmas party on the first Tuesday of December via Zoom. Part of the fun was wearing a Christmas hat. I didn't have the items from my hat secured properly so it fell apart before the party but here it was...

A group of members delivered the local Secret Santa gifts and those of us who had out-of-town Secret Santa people mailed them. I sent my gift to a member in the USA but unfortunately she didn't receive it until two days after the party.

I received this wonderful needlepoint stocking from Maureen M..

I have not been big on decorating my condo for Christmas in past years but for some reason, I watched the Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood special and it encouraged me to put up my little tree.

This has been my coffee table centerpiece for several years...the runner is made by my DS Carol and the centrepiece is a silver vase filled with red Christmas balls from my DS Shirley.

This year, Carol, gave me a new Christmas table runner...

This is just a bit of whimsy for those of you who are doll people...

My children and grandchildren (bless their hearts) gave me a new computer for Christmas!

As I unpacked it, I saw two chairs...not too sure what scale but perhaps 1:6?

Then I took the middle pieces and put them on the back and made a couch of them.

Just a little bit of fun.

Oh My,
This Neil Carter bronze was my Christmas gift from BFF Joanne

There aren't enough words to tell Joanne how much this means to me.

    • My DS Shirley gave me a pair of lighted tweezers that came in this case that I thought would be a good as a case for at least some of the wonderful pieces that Joanne got from the Petite Properties Advent Calendar

This came from MEE member Teresa
as the container for the gift from MEE member Sunni/

I don't know how long it will be until I tidy up all this mess and/or get the new computer installed.

  1. Oh, Maureen, I love your hat! And what wonderful gifts you received. You must have been a very good girl this year! That bronze figure? Gorgeous! I'm also looking at your craft room with envy. The rooms in your condo must be very generously sized. We will be moving into an apartment sometime this year and I'm very nervous about my craft space! I must enjoy what I have while I can! Cheers! - Marilyn D.
