Bernie Langille Wants to Know: documentary

http://www.kingscountynews.ca/living/kings-county-women-create-mini-lifelike-sets-for-nova-scotia-produced-documentary-207340/

"A team of three women has teamed up to create miniature sets that appear larger than life in a new documentary fresh off its Toronto premiere."

I am SO excited to read about this. I know Shelley, Iris and Kelly from Camp Mini Haha which was founded by my friend Cheryl and her friend Debbie. I attended it a decade ago along with my friend Tina so she knows them also.

Just great to know that their work has risen to such great acknowledgement.

Wonderful new art!

Joanne and I went to the St. Albert Art Walk Thursday night

One of my favourite artists (and my favourite miniature artist) was there and I bought three new pictures from her.

Judy Schafer is a wonderful Villeneuve, AB, artist.. I like that she also offers her art as pictures on 3/8" foamcore. They are meant as fridge magnets but I used one of them as the central picture in my art gallery. One of her pictures is the focus of my original art gallery.

I'm thinking that  I want to do at least two separate art galleries...one that is  native art.

This would definitely go into it with it with the inukshuk.

2 3/4" x 3 1/2"

Another definitely Canadian piece...I think we've all travelled down this road.
4 7/8" x 2 5/8"

This one is Judy's garden. Definitely Canadian...But I think it will go into a room box or a house.
