Just to whet your appetite...

I started a blog entry Sunday night to show how the Christmas Shop was (almost) finished but there was SO much to tell you about and SO many pictures to describe that it will take several hours to complete it.

More pictures today when I declared it finally (almost) finished....last couple little items made.

So I took it to Stitch and Bitch tonight and showed it off! And I'll take it to coffee club tomorrow to show it off there.

The parcel from Liz at Grandpa's Dollhouse arrived yesterday BUT, true to form, Canada Post made no actual attempt to deliver (I was home at the time) and just left the "delivery attempted" card. Just about lost my cool with the Post Office when I called to complain even though the gentleman was very nice and understanding. (My thought is that if they were required to redeliver when they pull this stunt, we'd see a lot less of it.)

Accordingly, the parcel couldn't be picked up until 1 p.m. today so Barb and Les R. took me out for a wonderful lunch then we went to the post office to pick up the parcel.

Then back to my place to unpack it! It was a fair size parcel as nine of us had had everything shipped to me in order to keep shipping costs down.

Dear Liz had included some wonderful extras for us: a big stack of wallpaper and a bag of "party favours" to be shared when we all get together to pick up our purchases.

I took the bag of "party favours" to Stitch and Bitch and sorted them into nine bags. That took me 45 minutes which should give you some idea of what a treasure trove it was!

I'll try to get caught up with all the pictures and information tomorrow!

  1. the post office isn't the only one who does that, the phone company, the gas company do it too.
